I get into work today and the boss’s son approaches my desk:
“Jill, there's something wrong with the water cooler.”

I walk into the kitchen and observe two things:
1. The box of tampons that I ordered from Staples for the office has been delivered.
2. The box has fallen, ripped open, and approximately 100 tampons are now floating in standing water created by a leak in our water cooler.

I call the cooler company; they tell me it’s the bottle to the water cooler that’s leaking. OK. I remove the bottle, I sweep what’s salvageable of the tampons into the box using the office spatula as my broom and call building management to bring a mop. I drip to the bathroom with my soggy box.

I come back to the kitchen a few minutes later to find that someone has mopped up the water, and that this “do-gooder” has put the leaky bottle BACK on the cooler. Water is all over the floor. (again)

Call building cleaning man. He comes back. Tells me HE put the bottle back on top of the cooler; he thought he was doing me a favor.

He then proceeds to pour the rest of the water into the sink… blissfully unaware that our sink has a bad leak, and when you pour too much water into it, it leaks out the bottom. Water is all over the floor. (again)

Now, one COULD see this as slightly annoying on a Monday morning, I however, am switching it up. This is what I focused on instead of getting annoyed:
1.  I have a VERY helpful handyman who will always help me lift heavy things and has a mop on him at all times. This is good.
2.  We got our supply of tampons in. Hooray.
3.  Sliding, in heels and a skirt, in the middle of my hedge fund office’s kitchen, shoveling wet tampons into a box with a spatula while standing in a pool of water, could make anyone giggle a little bit. :)
